*About me
Born as a Southern California girl in the 1960’s, I am now living on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Oddly enough, I am not fond of beaches!
Wife of one and mom of two, I am a stay-at-home novelist who enjoys hurricanes and heat from the safety of a well-insulated home. I aspire to one day live off the grid and raise chickens again.
My interests are varying. They include ancient history, Stephen King, autism, Jane Austen, studying the Bible, teaching, public speaking, absolute solitude, walks in sandstorms, organic food, baking bread, Stephen R. Lawhead, blogging, Weird Al Yankovic, following rabbit trails on the internet (oh, the things I’ve learned!), and house plans.
Current projects include the following:
- Follow-up novel to An Unexpected Woman. Working title is An Unexpected Man. Set on Captiva Island. I am shooting for completion by this summer.
- Researching for the sequel to Captive Irish Moon. I have already begun the book, not to worry.
- Mentoring up to half a dozen new writers at any given time. I REALLY ENJOY THIS. Truly. It is an honor for me to be able to help.
- Volunteered to read and review a scholarly, practical theology book for a publisher. More on this as I get the book itself.
- Working on a series of books for autistic youngsters and their caregivers and parents. It’s called Stepping Stones. Book one, Make a Face! has the text complete.
I enjoy hearing from folks, so if you’d like to drop me a line, please write to sandi AT sandyquill DOT net.
May your life be blessed with all that is best for you!
