It is indeed an historic time for America.  I thoroughly appreciate the “wow” factor of the United States having elected a man of color as her President.  Within the lifetime of many voters, a black person could have been shot at for trying to vote, never mind trying to seriously run for any major public office.

But with all the historic ramifications, there are other things to consider as we walk forward.  We live in unsteady times, and as a Bible scholar I try to keep my eye open.  Both eyes, if I can.

I feel that, right now, we have Mystery Man as our President. This concerns me.  Greatly.  I will pray for him, as the leader of my country, but I am watching, too.
