Invisible influence
What it means, to me, to be an editor.
To me, it means that I take someone’s work, their own words and thoughts and ideas, and I suggest ways in which they could present it for maximum effect. To enable them to show the best in themselves, to polish, trim and enhance.
It’s not about me, it’s about the writer. If I do my job well, no one knows I was even there.
